Use Fabrics Without Sewing
Even if you don't have a sewing machine, there are plenty of other options for fabric.
Here is a product called stitch and witch or stitch witchery, basically a glue that is activated by heat. It's a great tool to connect any two pieces of fabric (including hems). All you need is an iron.

Here is a hand sewing machine. It costs about $10 but it does almost the same thing as a sewing machine.

Decorate with hangable items to avoid the need to sew. For example, shower curtains come with grommets in them.

Use a grommet gun to attach grommets to your own fabrics.

You can also use clips to attach rings to fabrics.
