Color and Mood
Deciding what color to paint an area is a big decision. Here are some helpful tips.
Before you commit to a color, first get a sample from the store, and paint it all over a piece of poster board or foam core. Leave it up for several days so you can see it in all lights.

Active colors are warm colors, and include yellows, oranges, and reds. These colors invoke positive, cheerful feelings, and are generally good for rooms with limited natural sunlight.

Passive colors are cool colors, and include blues, greens, and purples.

These calming colors provide a calming effect, and should generally be used in areas with plenty of sunshine.
